... designed for GATE and High Achievers,
everyone is welcome!
This is the camp where you’re encouraged to “play with your food!” As a food scientist, you’ll investigate some of your favorite foods and learn how they provide the nutrients your body needs for energy. What makes foods taste the way they do? How do they react differently when combined with other foods or exposed to heat or cold? This is for the budding food scientist!
This is the definitive camp for GATE and High Achievers to flex their creativity! Each week tackles a STEAM Challenge: Create a biomedical device, an efficient water filter, a stage lighting system…just to name a few! This class uses the award-winning EiE curriculum from Boston Museum of Science.
Our young engineers will learn about force, motion, and inertia through inquiry. Projects include solar powered cars and boats, including balloon powered catamaran. The object: make things move faster with less drag using the laws of physics!
Learn public speaking skills and secure a platform to practice those skills. In this class, debate techniques will also be explored. Weekly competitions and TedTalks are expected!
